NexusMind rescues the software your business already runs on — the Access database, the VBA
workbook, the PHP application from 2012. We understand it, stabilize it and modernize it. No
rewrite required.
Clear the blockers that have been sitting in the way for months.
Reduce risk
Close the gaps that turn an ordinary bad day into a week of lost trading.
Reclaim value
Protect what you already paid for instead of paying for it a second time.
Move forward
Change the system again without anyone holding their breath.
The situation
If any of these sound familiar, you are in the right place.
You already know there is a problem. You do not need convincing — you need someone to open the
hood without flinching.
The developer who built it is gone, and nobody else has ever opened it.
It runs on a server nobody wants to reboot.
A change that should take a day takes a month, if anyone will attempt it.
The backup has never been restored.
An integration broke and the workaround became the process.
You are being asked to pay for a rewrite and you cannot tell whether you need one.
Before and after
Eight things go wrong. The same eight get fixed.
Stuck systems fail in a small number of recognisable ways, and they compound — each one makes
the next harder to see. Read the two panels across: every item on the left is answered by the
item facing it on the right.

Our rescue process
Understand it, judge it, then act on it.
The first two steps are the health check, and you can stop after them with a report you own.
The last one is the part most suppliers leave out: handing it back so you are not stuck with
us instead of stuck with the old system.
01
Discover
We analyze your system, codebase, infrastructure and dependencies.
02
Assess
We identify risks, technical debt and critical issues. You get a clear rescue roadmap.
03
Stabilize
We fix what is broken, address security gaps and stabilize performance.
04
Modernize
We refactor, upgrade and improve your system for maintainability and scale.
05
Empower
We document, transfer knowledge, and leave you with a system you can rely on.
What we do
One diagnosis, then one of three ways out.
Despite the numbering this is not a sequence. The health check is always first; the other three
are answers to what it finds, and a system needs one or two of them, rarely all three. Two carry
a price before we start and two do not — anyone quoting repair work on code they have not read
is guessing, and you will pay for the guess.
A structured inspection of architecture, source, dependencies, infrastructure, security, database, integrations and deployment. You get a plain-language risk report and a modernization roadmap — what is fragile, what is urgent, and what it costs to fix.
We stop the bleeding: recover source code and access, fix the failures that wake you up at night, close the security holes, and put backups, monitoring and documentation in place. The system you have, made dependable.
When the problem is real but the system is not worth opening — no budget for a rewrite, or too critical to touch — we build a small service beside it and route the traffic through that. The old system keeps running and keeps its job. Nothing inside it changes.
Gradually replace pieces of the old system while it keeps running — one module, one integration, one screen at a time. No switchover weekend, no bet-the-company rewrite.

If it runs your business, it qualifies — whatever it was written in.

The deliverable
You can read the report before you buy it.
Most of this trade asks you to take an assessment on faith. Here is a complete sample health
check — findings, evidence, what happens if you wait, and a priced roadmap — written for a
business that does not employ an engineer. If it does not look useful, do not book one.
The summary page: one score per inspected area, worst first, so the problems are the first
thing you see. Specimen figures — the subject is illustrative, not a past engagement.

Healthy baseline
Zero to a hundred per area, worst first. The overall score is the mean of the ten — not a
weighting you cannot check. Scores exist to focus the conversation, not to grade anyone's past
work.
Stuck is expensive
Your system already knows where it hurts.
Start with a health check: fixed scope, one to two weeks, and a report you can act on with or
without us. Or tell us what is not working and we will set up a 20-minute triage call.
